Born in the late fifties has expanded over time, specializing particularly in the management of large quarries, and in the execution of tunnels and shafts.
Since 1976 EDILMAC acquired equipment and technology “RAISE BORER”, with which is possible to do mechanically excavation of shafts, depth of hundreds of meters up to 6 meters in diameter. Then Edilmac developed its own equipment for the enlargement of shafts designed in larger diameters up to 6 meters.
Amongst the large diameters shafts that the company has excavated, there are those for the ventilation of Channel Tunnel, Locarno bypass gallery and the three ventilation shafts for the longest Bologna - Florence high speed railway tunnels.
